Senior Creative Wellness Program
The Senior Creative Wellness Program at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center is a weekly daytime arts and wellness class designed to support the emotional, cognitive, and social well-being of older adults. Through gentle movement, creative expression, and joyful social connection, this program provides seniors with an uplifting, meaningful experience in a safe and supportive environment.
Program Activities Include:
Arts & Creative Projects
Painting, drawing, crafting, coloring, and guided art explorationCognitive & Memory-Boosting Games
Storytelling, trivia, card games, group discussions, and recall activitiesGentle Movement & Stretching
Chair exercises, mobility-friendly movement, and music-based activityImagination & Theatre Games
Light improvisation, role-play, and expressive storytellingSocial Engagement & Community Building
Group interaction designed to support connection, confidence, and joy
Each week features new themed activities, keeping the program exciting and stimulating.
Who This Program Is For
This program is ideal for:
Seniors seeking social engagement
Older adults wanting light activity and mental stimulation
Individuals needing a safe, supervised environment
Seniors experiencing loneliness, boredom, or memory concerns
Home health clients needing enrichment activities during daytime hours
Mobility aids, walkers, and wheelchairs are welcome.
All programming is supervised by:
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Patient Care Technician (PCT)
• CPR-Certified Personnel
Staff can assist participants gently, provide adaptations as needed, and help ensure safety throughout the session.
